BASF will launch more than 20 innovative material solutions that enable the next generation of electric vehicles to be energy efficient while still being stylish and comfortable through highly customizable designs.



Innovative solutions that give design unlimited choice

Thanks to the new 3D printing solution developed for laser sintering technology and the new varnish developed for body scratch resistance, automotive designers can enjoy unprecedented freedom to customize electric vehicles for a new generation of drivers and passengers. In addition, the new polyamide material and its application not only bring a stylish appearance, but also resist scratches, UV rays and avoid scratches during car wash.


New materials for a safe, comfortable driving environment

BASF's new foam technology provides greater comfort for the driver and passengers while maximizing the use of the interior space. In addition, the durable materials used in the gears allow the seat to flexibly rotate over a wide temperature range.

Electromagnetic shielding increases the safety and performance of the component as it reduces external interference that affects the internal circuitry of the component.
