LATER compounds are based on PBT, one of the main?linear polyesters?most used by moulders (PET is the other one), obtained by polycondensation of terephtalic acid and butanediol. Because many properties of PBT are similar to PA (both 6 and 66), often the three resins share the same markets. However, there are also many differences between the three polymers.
