ACRYLONITRILE-BUTADIENE-STYRENE / POLYCARBONATE (ABS/PC)

I LASTILAC 10 compounds are based on blending ABS and PC.

Main properties

· Excellent impact resistance, even at low temperature;

· Low shrinkage levels;

· Low shrinkage levels;

· Good mechanical properties even at high temperature;

· Excellent surface aspect;

· Good soundproofing.

Notes
LASTILAC 10 compounds provide properties that are in the middle between ABS and PC products.
The excellent surface appearance of this product allows obtaining bright colours or plating parts.

Moulding
Cracking or long-term rupture due to internal residual stresses can be found. In order to prevent or reduce such phenomena, careful part design and correct moulding process are required. Eventually, annealing parts at 80-90°C (1 hour per mm of wall thickness) allows reducing residual stresses.
